The skill of positive intent helps me to position myself to teach children and positions them to learn. ![]() It is helpful when someone attributes positive motives to our behavior when someone sees the best in us. Our children need the same things we need: encouragement and help seeing the best in our intentions. When do you need the most encouragement? When you are feeling confident, calm and enough, or when you are feeling unsure of yourself, anxious and inadequate? When do you find it the most difficult to offer encouragement to your children? When they are doing what you want them to do, or when they have made a mistake? Do you think your children find it helpful to be lectured when they feel discouraged, or given encouragement instead? ![]()
